Is there a PA sales tax in services such as landscaping?
I have a landscaper asking for cash or extra for tax if .I pay by check. No other service person has ever asked fir sales tax,

1. Labor is usually not subject to sales tax but not sure in PA

Any products used would be subject to sales tax, like grass seed.

It is a little suspicious that he would forego the sales tax if you pay cash, however.

Never had that request from a service provider.

I have sat on our Board (Condo Assn,) have contracted for landscaping and snow removal etc. We pay by check, there has never been any sales tax added to our bill(s).

Services are not taxable in PA e.g. Doctor's fee, Barber, Hairdresser, therapist, Lawyer, etc.
