The trump supporters are very excited, that there president is coming to speak wonder if this is replay of discussions from Germany in the 1930s beer halls with hitler supporters. / this is update from earlier post my one friend is starting to try and talk logic and reasoning to several trump supporters I just sit here and smile ,Because logic they cannot comprehend. / update I walked home I can't waste a day arguing with idiots.

but I think your friend is doing a real service to the country. We gotta talk to people, even if it hurts. I just got called a liar and dupe over at the Conservative Cave (they repost some of our stuff over there to pull it apart), but other than one guy who wanted to "crotch punch" me--me, a 50 year old lady--they were logical and even nice.

Well I'm 51 and I left walked home gonna grill around noon no yard work today storms rolling in so the wife and I are talking she has detailed the laundry to me I said ok. I will argue with trump supporters but I learned along time ago to never argue with the wife if you win you lose BIGLY.

10. You are right about not arguing with Trump supporters.

Human dynamics jsut doesn't work that way. When we argue with people we simply make them defensive. I was in a sales meeting once where one of the salesmen made the statement "no one ever won an argument". The next day the owner of the company came in and said he spent half the night thinking about it and going through his years of sales and simply said "he's right."
Many of these people are looking for an argument so i don't want to give them what they want. If I am asked, I simply give my views, which are usually fairly long, nuanced and detailed with evidence. After that they leave me alone. You are not going to overcome thousands of hours of propaganda with facts.
