Citation filed and summary trial scheduled for state Rep. Haggerty
DUNMORE -- State Rep. Kevin Haggerty, D-112, Dunmore, has a summary trial scheduled for June 21 to answer to a citation alleging he hit his wife earlier this month.
Dunmore police last week filed a harassment citation for the May 18 domestic disturbance at the Haggerty family’s North Webster Avenue home.
His wife reported that Haggerty had hit her and Officer Michael Igoe filed a citation for harassment. A summons was issued Friday, according to the case docket. A phone message left for Haggerty was not returned.
If a guilty plea is not entered, the case will proceed to a summary trial next month in front of Magisterial District Judge Paul J. Ware.
