Gov Wolf vs GOP state legislature

Just curious what my fellow Keystone staters think about Gov Wolf's strategy of standing aside and making the Republican legislature figure out how to pay for the budget they passed and he allowed to become law without his signature?

Wolf's not getting into any fights with them, just consistently says the state house and senate need to do their job and expects them to do it. I think this is right in line of what voters want, too.

There's no winning a fight with them but making it obvious that they have to make it work will either show the failure of the policy or those who promote it.

The state senate got together and passed a plan including a gas severence tax, small as it might be, but Turzai won't agree to any tax increases at all. Torsella, the state treasurer, doesn't seem likely to float any more loans, so Wolf evidently is going to cut 12% across the board. The big blow will be money to all 501 school districts. That will all land on Turzai's head.

So glad we have a democrat in that office. Makes a huge difference, doesn't it?
