Hundreds arrested in sting targeting 'the worst of the worst' of West Tennessee
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Tennessee announced Monday the results of a two-week sting, Operation "Bluff City Blues."
More than 200 individuals with outstanding state and federal warrants were arrested during the sting, U.S. Attorney D. Michael Dunavant said.
Many of those arrests were of individuals positively identified as gang members. Others arrested were wanted for aggravated assault, homicide, drug trafficking or violation of sex offender registration requirements.
Additionally, the task force seized 771.9 grams of illegal substances, including marijuana, cocaine, crack and heroin; 28 firearms and four stolen vehicles.
