Believe it or not folks, there are Republican candidates that are worse than Randy Neugebauer. Dr. May is known for his near daily diatribe of ODS and anti-Obamaism. Some headlines from his most recent columns:
ObamaCare is Marxism
Tyranny Drives Down Obamas Approval
Tyrant Obama Now Attempts to Terrorize Seniors and Tourists
Obama Pushes for More Pain and Suffering
Obama is Still Acting Like a Tyrant
The last time Dr. May ran for Congress he received a whopping 1.1% of the vote in the Republican primary. He was fired from the University Medical Center at Texas Tech and sued to be reappointed, had fraudulent Medicare billings submitted under his name and sucked up over $65,000 in farm subsidies since 1995.

(111,944 posts)He is a Republican know-it-all that has been on some type of government dole his entire existence that chastises others for be drains on society. He is a member of the Lubbock Board of Health since he is an ophthalmologist, but also claims to be an expert on sex education (even though he has no children), a climate-change denier and refuses to examine any evidence that fracking causes ground water contamination.
From what I've read, he was also held in low regard by his colleagues when he was a department chair at the University Medical Center. Normally I don't judge a book by its cover, but his resemblance to Cheney provides a clue that he is also a dick. He is another person stuck in the 50s mindset and lacking in compassion for the less fortunate. There has to be a better choice in Lubbock--even among Republicans.
