It seems that Republican Lawmakers value the use of public education as a business for profit instead of public education for the purpose of educating students. Davis's plan to give college work and therefore college credit, to high school students, not only prepares their readiness for college but also gives them a chance at reducing the overall cost of a post secondary college degree. In my opinion, Abbott's plan on education is a stumble in the dark directing that more funding be removed and that education be moved to privatization.
