Lawyer known for 'Strong-arm' TV ads can't sue Dallas over Bentley wreck

Dallas attorney Brian Loncar, who has offices in Houston and advertises on TV as the Strong Arm, needed a stronger argument to win his suit against the city of Dallas over a traffic accident, an appellate court has decided.

Loncar sued over an accident on May 15, 2008, in which a Dallas fire truck broad-sided his 2008 Bentley, causing "severe injuries and damages," the attorney claimed.

The suit he filed Sept. 4, 2009, in Dallas County Court at Law No. 3 stated that he was driving southwest on Lomo Alto Drive and entered the intersection with Lemmon Avenue, near the Dallas North Tollway, on a green light.

The fire truck, northbound on Lemmon, entered the intersection on a red light, Loncar's petition stated.
