Dan Patrick will debate Castro on immigration
A terse, partisan exchange on Twitter over immigration is giving way to a debate.
State Sen. Dan Patrick, the conservative Republican talk show host who is running for lieutenant governor, on Friday announced that he will debate San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, a Democrat, on a date yet to be specified.
Castro could not immediately be reached for comment.
Earlier this week, the two politicians went at it on social media, after Castro Tweeted Patrick: “Congratulations @danpatrick, you are the most anti-immigrant Republican running for state office.”
