Northeast Tarrant County Tea Party Upset: Someone Else is Making Harrassing Phone Calls
FORT WORTH -- Someone is harassing NE Tarrant Tea Party — and they are harassing many others in the process. They’ve been making calls all weekend to folks not even in Texas (and in some cases not even in the USA) and told them to go to our website. Most people have been called multiple times and in the middle of the night.
Please be aware that NETTP has not made any calls, and if we were to make calls they would only be to folks in Tarrant County, Texas. They would NOT be at midnight, they would come from our PAC, and they would follow the legal guidelines for robocalls, including a statement about where the calls are coming from.
When we give out our web address, we don’t even state it in the way that was used in the robocall. We abbreviate NE.
We are very sorry that partisan politics has stooped to this level. We are working with our US Congressmen and our State Attorney General, as well as the media, the TX Ethics Commission, the Federal Elections Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission, to get to the bottom of this. We are told this could likely be investigated at the Federal level because it crosses both state and international lines.
