In wake of Rutgers controversy, Hance writes to Rice, asking her to speak at Texas Tech

Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance sent a letter to former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Monday asking her to speak at future Tech graduation ceremonies.

-snip-

“As a distinguished diplomat and great leader, you would be an outstanding individual to speak at one of our upcoming graduation ceremonies,” Hance wrote. “Texas Tech is a university of ideas, and our commencement ceremonies have featured speakers from various political parties and with a wide range of professional backgrounds from all over the world.”

Hance provided Rice with dates of future commencement ceremonies, excluding the upcoming ceremonies on May 16-17. The dates are:

■ Aug. 9

■ Dec. 12-13

■ May 15-16, 2015

“I think that we have a good chance, and I think she’d be well received at Texas Tech,” Hance told A-J Media. “I think that our students are more conservative. I think they’ve got good common sense. I don’t think there would be a lot of protest against someone who served as secretary of state.”

of a Weapons of Mass Destruction liar, torture queen and dirty energy industry board of director (and the list goes on).

It just make me want to throw up knowing that she is somehow honored at Texas Tech. Words about her real deeds and history need to spread like a Texas Dust Storm. So the truth can settle in just like the dirt.
