Oil and gas industry blasts Flower Mound research, attacks researcher's credibility

The oil and gas industry is questioning the credibility of a researcher who concluded that a cancer cluster existed in Flower Mound while drilling, fracking and natural gas production was occurring in the town.

Rachael Rawlins, a senior lecturer at UT Austin, published a study in the Virginia Environmental Law Journal in March calling for increased air monitoring, more regulation and better urban planning around natural gas drilling.
