Georgetown police arrest suspect in Target credit card breach

Authorities believe a man arrested by Georgetown police has a connection to the $70 million Target security breach.

Police arrested Guo Xeng Chen in December for using fraudulent credit cards at a Target store in Georgetown, said Roland Waits, a spokesman for the Georgetown Police Department.

“Target does believe he has something to do with the $70 million breach in security,” said Waits. Details about how Chen was connected to the breach were not available Wednesday.

Georgetown police arrested him Dec. 12 and charged him with fraudulent use of identifying information and also with being a fugitive from justice, according to court documents.
