Anti-gay group Texas Values endorses Sen. Donna Campbell’s “license to discriminate” bill

Jonathan Saenz, president of the anti-gay group Texas Values, has said he believes gays activists are trying to put Christians in jail.

So it comes as no surprise that Saenz and Texas Values are throwing their weight behind “license to discriminate” legislation filed this week by state Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels.

Campbell’s SJR 10 would allow business owners and others to turn away LGBT people, as long as they claim a sincerely held religious belief.

Campbell has denied that the proposed constitutional amendment is discriminatory. However, Lambda Legal senior counsel Jenny Pizer told me this week that SJR 10 would limit government’s ability to enforce local nondiscrimination ordinances — along with a host of other unintended consequences. For example, Pizer said the measure could even allow a group like the KKK to claim a right to use government-owned facilities for its meetings.

Or, what if I have no religious belief?

Who the hell do these clowns think they are? Did they roll out of church one day and decide everyone else is exactly like them?

If you're not my religion, my specific brand of whatever, you don't have a right to exist. Of course it's discriminatory. Moreover, it's discriminatory based on a myth. I'm getting really tired of this crap.

This is only possible because of that moronic Hobby Lobby case.

Here is hoping that we get the WH again in '16 and that a conservative retires from the supreme court. We got to get the SCotUS back from the right wingers!

Why only discriminate against "the gays"? There is such a wide range of other folks that you could discriminate against. Campbell and Saenz are seriously scary creeps. May they find themselves in the Twilight Zone.
