I see absolutely no reason why Democrats should attend Gov. Rick Perry's farewell speech to the Texas Legislature when it convenes in January. Providing a platform for the indicted governor serves as an opportunity to further his political ambitions. I believe that we should urge our Democratic legislators to not give the governor a bipartisan audience.

Look: it's about being respectful to the office. You don't want to appear childish, even if that's the treatment you get in return.

I truly, firmly, absolutely believe that if someone like Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush or Rand Paul or Mike Huckabee or Rick Perry were to go on live television in a press conference, and admit that while on a hunting trip in Sierra Leone he partook in a recreation which is a favorite of locals and visiting hunters and hunted down and shot and killed 8 children under the age of 12.
That in that part of Sierra Leone children of known criminals are treated this way as a deterrent, they are of course black children.
I believe he could be elected by 40% of the country if the alternative was Hillary or anyone just about with a D after their name.
