Prayerful visitors to Southcrest Baptist Church claim country losing moral valuesLUBBOCK -- Prayer and lots of it will lead toward a successful appeal against same-sex marriage, Lubbocks state senator said Friday night.
A disappointed Charles Perry encouraged a group of his fellow Christians not to give up during a legal battle ahead.
All is not lost, he said. God is in control, and he is sovereign, and it will work out the way he intended ... Stay prayed up.

(23,156 posts)If you don't believe in gay marriage, then don't gay marry.
Just as I always say, if you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one.
This is absolutely about individual rights and freedoms. What I might do or want to do has absolutely nothing to do with what others can or might do.
So long as children are not involved, so long as you marry one person at a time, who you marry is your own business.

(38,187 posts)There are even rainbows going up in the sky that aren't made by people today. There is even a thread on one of them here on DU. They need to look to the sky and see the clear sign. Whether it's nature or God, *something* up there is joining in the celebrations today. God has used rainbows as signs before. There wouldn't be rainbows out there today, of all days, if God was so angry that gay people can get married legally now.
Instead of being so depressed that other people besides only themselves have rights now, they should follow the laws of the land now and quit whining about it. It just kills me how they are so obsessed with keeping other people from having rights. If they are sad or depressed about it, it is their own fault.
