SUGAR LAND, TX -- A huge alligator was captured at a strip center this morning (Saturday) in Sugar Land.
The gator -- blind in one eye -- weighs more than 900 pounds and is more than 12 feet long. Wrangling the animal at the First Colony Commons Shopping Center proved quite the task for authorities. A Home Depot forklift had to be used to lift the gator onto the back of a truck.
Authorities believe the alligator came from Oyster Creek, which runs behind the shopping center.
Christy Krobroth, the alligator trapper who captured the animal, says he will be sent to an alligator sanctuary called Janik Aligators in El Campo. She says he will be put in breeding program where he will "make lots of babies."

As if corrupt politicians, snakes, scorpions, tornadoes and hurricanes aren't enough.

I won't live in places where the ground moves or the mountains smoke. I've been around both and you can have them.

Someone's pajamas?
At least it is going to a sanctuary.

eyes - reduces stress to the animal.

I like this story. I am glad it had a happy ending for the gator.
