Texas oil, gas producers on the cusp of a slowdown?

Texas oil and gas producers could begin to curtail drilling in the Lone Star State as falling crude oil prices are feeding anxiety over another economic slowdown, according to a new Texas Alliance of Energy Producers report.

Average crude oil prices in Texas dropped in April for the first time since October 2009, but production rose more than 8 percent over last year to 41.75 million barrels of crude oil.

Johnston county, at one time the top producer (ie top polluter) in the Barnett Shale with 70 active sites is now down to 3, according to the local rag. They are saying it is the low price of gas. I always said that the reason they were so big on selling it overseas was to keep the supply low (price high) here.

I hope iot will mean a slowdown in those smarmy disgusting ads about how safe fracking is.
