to run against Cruz in 2018. I'm not saying he is intelligent or anything, but is Matthew McConaughey a Democrat? Even if he is a Republican, at least he could reprise the "Dazed and Confused" role again and we would get the side benefit of not watching any more of his movies again.

There was a popular push to get him to run for president, but he'd make a great senator, too

McConaughey appears to be a big unknown as to political persuasion.
