Corpus Christi mayor's race now has 5 candidates
Ethics commissioner Larry White is joining the race to become Corpus Christi's next mayor under the banner of "the change you want, the integrity you need."
White throwing his name into the ring brings the total announced candidates to five.
He joins Councilman Joe McComb, former City Councilmen Chad Magill and Mark Scott and returning City Council candidate Ray Madrigal in the race to replace Mayor Dan McQueen.
Former Mayor Nelda Martinez, who lost her re-election bid to McQueen in November, said she is considering entering the race.
