Naked man covered in blood locks himself inside VIA bathroom
SAN ANTONIO — Police detained a naked man covered in blood Wednesday near downtown after he locked himself in the bathroom of a VIA facility.
Witnesses said they saw the man running down San Pedro Avenue without clothes around 10 a.m., with police close on his tail.
"I thought it was someone jogging," said Gloria Hernandez, 50, "but then I looked closer."
The man made it into the VIA facility near the intersection of San Pedro Avenue and West Evergreen Street, where he locked himself into the bathroom.
