H-E-B recalls potentially dangerous halogen lightbulbs sold in stores



Heads up if you have recently purchased GTC-branded halogen lightbulbs from H-E-B over the past few years.

According to a release this week the bulbs have the potential to shatter while in use, with lacerations and fire hazards possible.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission's online recall listing notes that the value-priced bulbs were sold from August 2015 to December 2017.

That agency has received 14 reports of the bulbs shattering while in use. At least one consumer had a cut on his hand, and another had a burn to his hand and cuts on his foot.

I will be shopping for light bulbs soon since about half of the lights in our apartment have the GTC bulbs and there one spare bulb left in the cabinet.

I don't have any of those bulbs. I just wanted to comment that i love HEB. I worked for them for 5 and a half years. Great company!
