Representative Doggett appeared on The Beat with Ari Melber as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Tax Policy of the Ways and Means Committee, talking about how his committee will investigate Trump's taxes when Democrats have control.
I'm an older guy (over 50) who grew up in Austin, and Lloyd Doggett has been in politics most of my days. He became a state senator when I was in third grade, and he remains a solid progressive fixture.
Thanks, Lloyd, for hanging in there even when it seemed Democrats would never matter in Texas again. Hope you are around to see when Texas turns blue permanently, when Republican's presidential hopes will evaporate into a disgusting residue.

Rethuglicans have gerrymandered him out of several districts, but he wins no matter where they put him.
