They went inside a vacant Houston home to smoke pot...and found a tiger inside

HOUSTON — Houston Police are investigating after a tiger was found Monday inside a southeast Houston home.

Officials said a couple of people who went into the abandoned home to smoke marijuana called 311 when they found the tiger. 311 officials transferred the call to BARC Animal Shelter who got a warrant from Houston police to search the home in the 9400 block of East Avenue J.

Crews nicknamed him "Tyson" after the movie "The Hangover."

BARC officials said the tiger will stay at the shelter overnight. It will be taken to an animal sanctuary on Tuesday.

The story was a guy had bought it at a flea market in S. Carolina. That was the story.

He lived under a local water tower (we were poor but I didn't know it) in a little brick building that rented for nothing.

So thelion got loose and for at least a week going outside was a big No. my mom used to drive around the streets and we looked to see if we saw anything around the house. She'd pull up, blast the horn, a lot of people were doing this, and then make a mad dash to the door. Once she was inside she go around to all the windows and have a look. We'd have our stuff together (groceries often) and we'd get the signal. My brother and I would run like hell inside the house.

One kid claimed he outran it in a fire trail on his mini bike. BS.

Animal control ended up over tranquilizing it and it died. At the end of the road (where the monkey was in a cage) and take a right on the fire trail. I'd say it was maybe 3-400 yards from our house.

That monkey/chimp was as big as we were and it was MEAN.

the weirdest thing that ever happened to me while catching a buzz was when I was turned a curve on a country dirt road and nearly ran into an emu. The bird kept craning its neck toward me and I thought I was going to be attacked before it ran away from me.

An emu! Brother, that was not what I expected to see when I began reading your reply. How fucking surreal was that!

Can you imagine the rush you would get seeing that tiger stoned? My imagination runs wild with the reactions I might have.
