so that cannabis can be legalized at the federal level. It is obscene that marijuana is a Schedule 1 drug, along with heroin, LSD, meth and other drugs that are 1)highly addictive and 2) have no real therapeutic value.

At the very least it should be a Schedule 2 or 3 drug like cocaine. Marijuana HAS therapeutic value. We know that.

Also, as a bookkeeper who prepares income taxes for individuals and small companies, it is totally UNFAIR that commercial marijuana growers cannot deduct the expenses associated with producing their product. No deductions for farm equipment. No deductions for workers who care for the plants and help with the harvest. No deductions for the property taxes they pay on their land. But do the still have to PAY taxes on April 15th? Oh yeah.
