Cold in Houston!

Last edited Thu Feb 18, 2021, 05:33 PM - Edit history (1)

Well it started out with no internet from Comcast and spotty service from T-Mobile but my electricity was on and I was comfortable. I just couldn’t work because I work from home on the internet.

Then no water and at 10:36 pm on Tuesday the electricity went out. It came back on Wednesday morning about 2:30am but went out about 9am went out again. I went to a friend’s house who had electricity for a few hours (my husband stayed home in the cold because my friend has animals that mess with his allergies.). I came home because he was hungry but all I could find to bring home were Doritos and bean dip and coffee. It teased me for about 5 minutes when the electricity came on and went right back out.

I’m sitting in my car charging my phone and getting warm. It’s 55 degrees in the house.

Update: We now have electricity. Still no water for bathing or dishes. We are under boil water orders but no water to boil. But due to my husband’s niece, we now have plenty of drinking water.
