This racist asshole ran on the platform to fight Critical Race Theory which is not taught in public schools.

A Cypress-Fairbanks ISD school board trustee has come under fire this week for his comments, one of which discounted Black teachers, after a public presentation on the school district's equity and culture audit.
Trustee Scott Henry's remarks sparked fury, allegations of racism and calls for his resignation on Wednesday.
Henry linked more Black teachers to lower school district performance at the school board's work session on Monday, Jan, 10, citing Houston ISD, which is predominantly Hispanic and has a large Black student and teacher population, as an example.

This is the study that this asshole is complaining about
Low-income Black students who have at least one Black teacher in elementary school are significantly more likely to graduate high school and consider attending college, according to a 2017 study co-authored by a Johns Hopkins University economist. The study also found that having at least one Black teacher in third through fifth grades reduced a Black students probability of dropping out of school by 29 percent, and for very low-income Black boys, the results were even greater, falling to 39 percent.
These comments from Houston leaders make me smile

"spark accusations of racism?"
What he said was racist and it's chicken shit for the Houston Chron to not call it what it is directly.
