Four Democratic candidates running to fill Gohmert's seat

Four Democratic candidates are vying to replace Republican U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert in the 1st Congressional District.

Gohmert, R-Tyler, is facing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the March primary.

Victor Dunn, Gavin Dass, Stephen Kocen and Jrmar Jefferson are on the Democratic ballot in March.

The 1st Congressional District covers Northeast Texas, including Tyler and Longview.

Early voting for the March 1 primaries begins Feb. 14.

It's doubtful that this seat will turn blue, but it is still important that there is a Democratic alternative on the general election ballot in the fall.
