The Motor Inn of America, located in the 4900 block of Marsha Sharp, was evacuated after the building's roof collapsed.

Fire crews and police rushed to the scene to make sure everyone was out of the building. EMS called in the mass casualty ambulance and began triaging patients on-site.

Large buildings weren't spared, either. The Covenant Lakeside Medical Center saw damage, with exterior windows blown out. Lubbock Heart Hospital had part of its roof blown off, too.

Workers at the Ashley Furniture store have a lot of cleaning up to do. The roof to their building was blown off, turning the store's interior into a soggy mess.
