Texas doctor convicted of patient sex assault
SAN ANTONIO — A South Texas dermatologist faces up to 20 years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a female patient.
The penalty phase continues Tuesday for 61-year-old Dr. Calvin Day of San Antonio.
Day was convicted Monday of assaulting the victim in August 2010. The now-48-year-old woman says she visited Day's office on a Sunday for a follow-up after having a Botox treatment. She says she was kissed and groped by Day.
Prosecutors later Monday called more than a dozen other ex-patients or former Day employees who allege he made inappropriate advances to them.
