"Happy Thanksgiving" email from Tim Kaine
Dear PunkinPi,
Anne and I send you our best wishes on this day set aside to count our blessings. We are still working through so many feelings about the election and I imagine you are too. But that can't obscure those things we are grateful for -- health, friends and family and the opportunity to fight hard for what we believe in.
Today is our 32nd anniversary. When I moved to Virginia to marry Anne in 1984, I only knew one person here and I was happy. Years later, we have played an important role in moving our state in a better direction. We've seen again and again that progress is not always in a straight line. There are advances and reverses. But we are as energized about the work today as when we were newlyweds.
Thanks for being such an important part of our journey and for all the things you do to make our world a little better! We'll keep pushing together!
