Gillespie rejects 'alt-right' label for Nazis and Klansmen in Charlottesville

RICHMOND — Ever since Nazis and Klansmen descended on Charlottesville for a deadly August rally, Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and other Virginia politicians have described them as out-of-state troublemakers who needed to “go home” and never come back.

On Thursday night, the Republican running to succeed McAuliffe said they did not even have a place in political debate.

“They called themselves the ‘alt-right,’” former Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie, a Republican said at an NAACP forum a month. “They are not on any legitimate political spectrum of left to right. If on a scale of one to 10 — one is the most liberal, and 10 is most conservative — these people are a yellow. They’re not on the same continuum.”

Gillespie, who titled his political memoir “Winning Right,” was not just defending his side of the political divide.

There has never been any other public figure who's been shoved in our faces - along with his offensive opinions and increasing scandals - by the media every single day.

China is extreme left, and yet they are trying to eradicate minorities in the name of some abstract national unity and harmony.

And the Alt-Right seamlessly blends into the Alt-Left. Who's the Alt-Left? The Alt-Left is the people who
* hate the US-establishment and imperialism
* adore Putin
* are against racism

Now don't tell me that the Alt-Left isn't real, that it's just a smear to compare the people on the left to the Alt-Right. The Alt-Left is real, I have met them, I have debated them, and they are misinformed cherrypickers just like the Alt-Right. The only difference to the Alt-Right is that they are against racism.

In their world, everything is the fault of the US.
North Korea threatening to nuke SK and Japan? They wouldn't do that if only the US wouldn't try to invade them.
To them
- Assad is a good guy because the US hates him (nevermind the multiple reports of systematic torture)
- Gaddafi was a good guy because the US hated him (nevermind the murderous oppression of political dissent)
- Kim Jong Un is a good guy because the US hates him (nevermind stuff like systematic torture, executions, oppression of free press, brainwashing, and imprisoning whole families for what one family-member did)
