The Commonwealth of Virginia is having a general election on Tuesday, November 7. You may have seen the ads on TV.

The polls will be open 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote or to update your address is Monday, October 16, 2017.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by appearing in person is 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017.

Virginians took the time to write the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. In light of those achievements, casting a ballot can’t be all that burdensome.
