UPDATE: as of commute time, Capitol South is flooded with water- and two escalators are now going up and not down.

Someone told me this is "normal" or actually a feature. Really? All over one of Metro's glass jawed escalators? Nah. #wmata

The rain has let up for now. I didn't have any clothes on the line, and I had all the windows closed that needed to be closed. There will be water in the basement. As always.

KDCA (Ronald Reagan Airport) reports 2.79 inches of precipitation, most of it in less than a half hour.
