Six people arrested after vandals target Seattle businesses ahead of 'Defund SPD' vote

Vandals once again took aim at several stores in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood Sunday evening, hours ahead of another crucial Seattle City Council vote on how to 'defund' the city police department.

The Seattle Police Department said Monday afternoon two people were booked into King County Jail in connection to the vandalizations. The other four people involved were interviewed and released from the precinct pending further charges, police said.

Much of the damage was along Madison Street over to Broadway. Glass doors were broken at a Chase Bank but it's unclear if anyone got in. Glass was also broken at a Key Bank.

A Starbucks that had plywood up from earlier vandalism had that plywood pulled down.
