Microsoft to open public vaccination clinic on its Redmond campus

Microsoft Corp. has opened a community Covid-19 vaccination site at its Redmond headquarters, the company announced last week.

The clinic, at Building 33 on Microsoft’s campus, is open to the general public by appointment only. Microsoft said it’s fronting the costs for the vaccination site, and those getting shots won’t have to pay. Insurance isn’t required.

Demand for Covid-19 vaccines in Washington is expected to skyrocket as they become available to the general public Thursday, and sites like Microsoft’s will be needed to keep up.

With vaccine supplies limited, Gov. Jay Inslee and health officials have made it available in phases, prioritizing those believed to be most at risk of contracting the virus or suffering its most serious complications.
