Full SR 520 Closure Over Lake Washington This Weekend
SEATTLE State Route 520 will be closed in both directions over Lake Washington this weekend, as crews work around the clock to remove the old Montlake Boulevard overpass. The closure begins Friday night and will be in place until early Monday.
Initially, WSDOT also planned to close the Montlake Bridge this weekend, but that part of the work was postponed due to the weather.
Here's what to know about the weekend 520 closure:
The on-ramp from Montlake Boulevard to eastbound SR 520 will close starting at 8 p.m. Friday.
All eastbound and westbound lanes of SR 520 will close, between Interstate 5 in Seattle and 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill, starting at 9 p.m. Friday.
The SR 520 Trail for cyclists and pedestrians crossing Lake Washington will also be closed, but the trail running beneath SR 520 to the Arboretum will remain open.
