Thurston County 911 services hit with outage Tuesday evening

Jan. 12—Thurston County 911 Communications experienced an outage on Tuesday that prevented residents from calling their dispatch center.

The outage lasted over four hours starting around 5 p.m. in the evening, according to reports from Thurston County Emergency Management and the Olympia Fire Department.

During the outage, calls were rerouted to an alternate 911 center, per Emergency Management. Services were completely restored by 9:30 p.m.

Multiple other agencies within the county also reported the outage on their social media accounts.
