Fixer home listed for sale in north Seattle gives buyers sticker shock

The real estate market in Seattle is expensive, and rising interest rates are making things incredibly difficult for homebuyers.

One listing in north Seattle caught our eye and it wasn’t necessarily because of the price tag, but moreso the condition the house was left in.

Having spent over 200 days on the market with an initial price tag of $835,722, the home has been reduced multiple times, sitting at $665,000 as of Monday evening. It’s a two bed, one bath, 1,600 square-foot home left completely abandoned and untouched for years, according to longtime neighbors.

We’re told the price reflects property value and not home value — but even so, pictures found from the initial listing Monday morning raised some questions.

and put up multiple units, maybe a 3 or 4 plex and make a fortune. These property values here are almost comical. But they never seem to go down, over the years they keep going up and up and to wait for them to come down is a pipe dream.
