GOP PAC opens Spokane office to save McMorris Rodgers

The "SuperPAC" of House Speaker Paul Ryan, in a tacit admission that even solid Republican districts are in danger, is setting up a field office in Spokane to boost seven-term GOP Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

A member of the House Republican Leadership, McMorris Rodgers has supported President Trump, been an outspoken opponent of Obamacare and boosted Republicans' recently passed tax reform package.

She is facing a formidable challenger in Democrat Lisa Brown. Brown served until recently as chancellor of Washington State University-Spokane, and is a former majority leader in the Washington State Senate.

Voicing delight that Ryan's forces are moving in to rescue McMorris Rodgers, Brown tweeted: "Help us counter the effects of this outside dark money by joining us."

The Congressional Leadership Fund, Ryan's political committee, is part of a planned $100 million campaign to hold onto the Republican Party's 24-seat majority against an anticipated Democratic "wave" in the November elections.

-snip-

The Ryan "superPAC" has set up field offices in five California districts, defending three endangered Pennsylvania Republicans, and has even set up shop in Republican Kansas.

will be tied to Trump in all things. Do not look to Trump to step foot in New York, California, Washington State, or even some he won narrowly that usually go Democratic.

Buyer's remorse is already being felt in Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Michigan. States where Democrats have good chances of picking up seats in the House and retaining seats in the Senate. With such dismal Job Approval ratings State and Nation wide, what Republican is going to tout the GREAT job Trump is doing and great America is doing when the opposite is as plain as the noses on their faces??

No amount of lies and dark money is going to change that fact.
