Cougar killed after attempting to attack child in Leavenworth

A child escaped serious injury when a cougar tried to attack in Leavenworth on Sunday.

The Washington State Patrol said the attack happened about dusk at Enchantment Park.

Fish and Wildlife officers were tracking the cougar and later euthanized the animal.

A neighbor snapped a photo of the cougar prowling the area.

I know cougars by nature like them young but they should at least be the legal age of consent.
