3 WVU students agree to leave university following investigation into fraternity member's injury
MORGANTOWN — Three students agreed to permanently separate from West Virginia University following the conclusion of an investigation into an injury sustained by a fraternity member that has left him hospitalized to this day.
The investigation centered on the injury of David Rusko, a senior finance major from Uniontown, Pennsylvania, according to a release from the university. He fell down steps at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house Nov. 10.
Rusko, a member of the fraternity, was rendered unconscious and has remained hospitalized since. The university's investigation determined two hours elapsed between the fall and medical help being sought, according to the release.
In addition to the three, about 15 other students have agreed to other disciplinary actions, according to the release. Not all of the students facing disciplinary actions are members of the fraternity.
