Milwaukee Sheriff Clarke dons tinfoil hat...

And goes on the Alex Jones show.

Milwaukee County Sheriff Warns Assault Weapons Ban Would Spark Second American Revolution

Submitted by Miranda Blue on Thursday, 3/13/2014 1:34 pm

In an interview Tuesday with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke warned that a federal assault weapons ban could spark “the second coming of an American Revolution, the likes of which would make the first revolution pale by comparison."

Clarke, who appeared on a CPAC panel about gun rights last weekend, became a right-wing hero last year when he advised residents to arm themselves rather than counting on calling 911. Jones told Clarke that he had talked to “a lot of analysts” who “think that the Obama-Marxist types want to start a civil war in this country.”

“They’ve got to know what will happen if they try to confiscate guns,” he said, referring to a federal assault weapons ban. Clarke responded that such a ban would be an “act of tyranny.”

does Milwaukee County elect their sheriff? or is he appointed by the county executive board or something? Scott Walker used to be Milwaukee county executive so maybe that is why.

A good slogan for Clarke's challenger: Do you want this conspiracy loon as the chief law enforcement officer in your county?

9. One problem is that he runs as a Democrat

Clarke openly said that was the only way he could get elected in Milwaukee County. The county Democratic Party has disavowed him, supporting his opponents in prior elections, but there's nothing it can do to stop him from filing as a Democrat. (He came to a couple of meetings a few years ago but that's all.)

Lt. Chris Moews, a homicide detective with the Milwaukee city police, is running against him again this cycle (he started well over a year ago on fundraising and appearances). He is fully aware of all Clarke's bad qualities and how to describe them. We need to do a lot of work to get people out to vote in the August primary, because that is the real election for this position.

their AR15s up against a bunch of Iraq trained troops.
Their whole bluster comes from the power they think a gun gives them. Unarmed they are a bunch of scared little men.

keep talking about a "second American Revolution" when any conflict would be more accurately called a "second American Civil War"?
