http://malcontends.blogspot.com/2015/01/silence-is-betrayal-as-scott-walker.htmlIn the words of Dr. King: "I agree with Dante, that the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in a period of moral crisis maintain their neutrality. There comes a time when silence becomes betrayal."
The attack on the foundations of democracy led by the religious extremist Scott Walker is seen in assaulting:
Voting rights
Representative government through gerrymandering
Public schools
Clean Water
Veterans
Non-partisan election watchdog agency
The Environment
University system and the entire City of Milwaukee
Wind and solar power
Women's rights
have laid bare the Republican Party of Wisconsin as an unprecedented, corrupt movement seeking total power over all levers of representative government, with a dismantlement of watchdog nonpartisan agencies, a future that to ought repulse every thinking citizen of Wisconsin, including Republicans.

(2,638 posts)with the exception of Bush who lost and was installed by our SC. We have a willfully ignorant electorate who would rather play FB games and watch reality shows than to stay informed on what affects their lives and the lives of their loved ones. In my own family I have one child who doesn't want to be bothered with it. We have segments that will only vote on one issue and let others go hungry and die and allow their very religions to be bastardized. Our political parties use redistricting (both have done it) to artificially gain advantage which destroys the very fundamentals of our representative democracy. We still allow the arcane electoral college instead of popular vote. So yes we deserve what we allow.
