My WI born and raised husband proudly served WI brats from Marchants in Sturgeon Bay

with all the fixings at the Yale Bowl today in New Haven where we live. We were tailgating with our friends and had a nice fancy grill. Did he wow these CT people! They lined up to get them!

WI tradition lives on today because of one guy doing brats in beer and grilling them to perfection.

Our team lost to Columbia which was kinda humiliating, but hey, stuff happens. The brats were great!

Can't beat it. I grew up in the western part of the state, and we knew abut them, but failed to adequately appreciate them. When my wife went to grad school in Stevens Point, we got full treatment. Perfect food for picnics, tailgates, weddings, funerals, state dinners, Sunday brunches, and so on.

My great-great-great-great (?) grandfather was one of the first European settlers in Door County. Still visit there often; still have relatives there. Beautiful place. Politics are a bit right-wing, though. At this very moment I am wearing a Packers sweatshirt, though I care not a whit about football.

If I could, I'd convince my family to move up there year round although the Republicans would be a bit hard to take.

Beautiful country.

Love exploring the country for neat shops as well as the specialty shops, but I can't ever get the villages in order in my mind.

Also love the amateur theaters.

You are so lucky to own property up there. Enjoy!

I'm not charmed by it but he gets a lot comments. Of course, he wears his Packers shirt, too, so it's pretty obvious where he's from. I no longer get embarrassed as I know he is among friends and it was Halloween and plenty of folks were in costume...
