July 9: New poll says Paul Ryan is losing in his reelection bid in Wisconsin with his Repug opposi.

I read that is was a smaller sample--about 500 and it was an interval poll by his Republican opposition. Ryan has 2 Democrats opposing him also. WI primary is Aug 8--open primary.

But still---maybe--and hope this is trend!

New poll says Paul Ryan is losing in his reelection bid in Wisconsin

By Daily News Bin | July 9, 2016

Take this with the biggest grain of salt you can find, because one lone poll is never to be trusted without confirmation, particularly when it’s from a polling outlet that barely has a reputation. But as Speaker of the House Paul Ryan continues to find a way to make himself look more inept by the day in his war-on-two-fronts battle against Republican nominee Donald Trump and the House Democrats, one new poll claims that he’s likely to be defeated in his attempt at reelection in November.

The trouble for Paul Ryan isn’t even coming from the other side, but rather from within his own party. With a month to go before the Senate primary voting in Wisconsin, Ryan is being challenged by tea party Republican candidate Paul Nehlen in rather sensationalistic fashion. Nehlen is strongly aligned with Donald Trump and has also been endorsed by Sarah Palin, and in the ultra-conservative district where Ryan is from, those are apparently seen as good qualities. Suddenly, according to this one poll, Nehlen has pulled out ahead of Ryan.

The poll in question is the AMP Poll, and if you’ve never heard of it then you know as much about it as we do. ..................... However, the AMP Poll shows that Paul Nehlen has 48% of the republican vote, while Paul Ryan has just 41%...............

Since I'm a purebred Cheesehead having been born in Wisconsin where my parents and family are from, I've been saddened by the rightward lurge of the voters in Wisconsin over these past years. Unfortunately, Governor Walker and Paul Ryan are the most visible of the GOP's ascendancy in America's Dairyland. There are many other elected and administrative officials within the state that support the same regressive policies.

It would be wonderful to see Speaker Ryan lose his seat.

Sounds like his opponent is a real horrible dude. Question about the process...if Ryan loses his seat and the Republicans hold the majority (but maybe not...it could happen!), does the majority pick a new Speaker? Or does the new nut get his spot?
