One of the most corrupt judges on our Supreme Court is leaving...

Michael Gableman.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Gableman stepping down

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman will not seek a second term next year, creating a vacancy on the state’s highest court unless he resigns and a replacement is named before the election.

I suspect Walker will use the resign and appoint game for a new right winger to run as an incumbant.....

but...

if the talk about a "blue wave" taking place in the mid-term elections is true...we can get one of our seats back.

One of the local judges in my community made this statement when Gableman first ran for office. But then the big money rolled in from out of state and caused us to loose a respected judge and we got this corrupt fool.

This is Rebecca Bradley all over again. Michael Screnock was appointed to circuit court in Sauk County in 2015 and was reelected in 2016. Before that he worked for Michael Best & Friedrich, where he helped them defend Walker over Act 10 and worked on the gerrymandered maps. He looks fairly young in the Journal-Sentinel photo (link), so they'll obviously hope to keep him around for several terms. But this guy with two years of experience as a judge is committed to the principle that "the role of a judge is to say what the law is and not what it should be," so he'll be the best judge ever.
