Damn.....tRump gaining ground in Wisconsin???

Support for President Donald Trump's re-election bid is growing in Wisconsin, the latest Marquette University Law School poll shows.

The results, released Wednesday, find Trump leading the top four Democratic presidential candidates in head-to-head matchups, including against former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, who are trailing Trump for the first time in the poll.

Meanwhile, Trump had a bigger advantage over South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg in the latest findings, with the results showing the president with an eight-point advantage compared to a two-point one last month.

we still have not chosen a candidate but yes

we must consider the possibility that this megalomaniac can mesmerize enough voters to take the electoral college again. and worse, that

they can keep the senate and gain the house on his coat tails.

3. Wisconsin will be the toughest of the WI/MI/PA that we need to flip.

Lower percentage of minority voters, higher percentage of non-college white voters and it's big cities are less populated than Michigan's and Pennsylvania. It's going to be really close in Wisconsin.

8. Trump will win Wisconsin comfortably. This is an A rated poll.

In 2016 the Marquette poll had Hillary up by 6% on election day and Trump won. If Marquette says Trump is up by 4% he's probably actually up by 8-10%. I think the DNC should write off Wisconsin and concentrate on MI, FL, MN, PA and AZ. I'm not going to be campaigning at all in Wisconsin, it's a lost cause. I'll be heading across the river to help out in Minnesota instead.

Wisconsin is one of the worst cases for sensible voting. Aging populous, low cultural mix, and the Bradley Foundation's effort to influence radio stations broadcasting hate for years.

Outside of Madison and Milwaukee, and a couple smaller pockets, this is a state full of dumbass uneducated white people and racist xenophobic suburbanites. Anyone who doesn't fit that demographic moves out as fast as they can, as soon as they can. I would too if I didn't have an elderly father to care for.

7. That's because you're from Madison. Dane County went like 98% for Clinton. Milwaukee was similar.

Out here in the Western Hinterlands it's Trump country bigtime. People feel ignored and abandoned by the Democratic Party and stupidly believe that Trump's policies are better for them. That, and Trump hates the same people they hate (non-whites, gay people, etc. etc)...

my elderly mother a few years ago--to a smaller town in mid WI--I was in shock. And more shocked when WI went for Trump. I had lived in a blue cocoon in Madtown. Still not recovered. RW hate radio blares 24 hours a day.
I was so upset when I saw that poll. But I will canvass come next summer.

But, I speak to a lot of like-minded people who are screaming in silence at the misfortune of the damning circumstance of living in WI. Amazing how neighboring Iowa is enough different to make a difference.

All I've read on this board tonight is echo chamber stuff. Outrage at Trump is justified but not at independents, people who Dems have to actually reach this time.
Hillary calling them out as, "deplorables," is one of the biggest reasons she lost the White House.

But d.u. has become such a huge hive mind, nothing but like-minded opinions, I don't know if that's even permitted speech any more. I haven't been here in months.

I'd really be curious to know what the numbers are, how many new site visitors, compared to before 2016. Not just the click count from the same people logging in throughout the week.

We have the Trump backed FoxCON that everyone hates, the repukes are still trying to trash our schools and our environment, the roads are still full of Scott-holes from the Walker shit-show, and the farmers have been decimated.

I think Trump will have a decent showing here, but will lose. Just my opinion, keeping in mind that I don't associate with Republicans unless absolutely essential.
