Trial for former Walker aide pushed back 3 months

MILWAUKEE — The trial date has been pushed back for a former aide to Gov. Scott Walker who's charged with embezzlement.

Timothy D. Russell worked for Walker when Walker was the Milwaukee County executive. Russell has pleaded not guilty to three embezzlement charges stemming from allegations that he stole more than $21,000 from a nonprofit organization.

Russell's jury trial was originally set for June 18. At a hearing Monday it was pushed back to Sept. 10.

Russell is one of six Walker aides and associates charged with crimes. The charges stem from a secret John Doe investigation. Walker has repeatedly said he is not a target of the investigation, and he hasn't been charged with wrongdoing.

Walker is being challenged in Tuesday's recall election by Democratic challenger and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

for singing practice. I think Timmy Rustler is joining the choir. He's now the source of the info that Walker is definitely John Doe.
