Walker brings in big money, likely to have 'overwhelming financial advantage'

Gov. Scott Walker received $1 million in one weeklong stretch alone from just four donors as part of his fundraising blitz that helped him raise more than $12 million over the last year — and more than $4.5 million in the last five weeks as he faced a statewide recall effort.

Walker brought in big money from out-of-state donors, including another $250,000 from billionaire Texas home builder Bob Perry. That means he has now received $500,000 from Perry, who is known for financing the "swift boat" ads targeting 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry.

Walker also received $250,000 from David Humphreys of Tamko Building Products in Joplin, Mo., and another $250,000 from Sarah Atkins of Tamko.
Stanley Herzog of Herzog Contracting in Missouri gave Walker $250,000.

They were among the out-of-state donors that gave Walker some 61 percent of his campaign contributions in the most recent reporting period, said Mike McCabe of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign.

"It's the most ever raised by anyone running for state office. And he's just getting started," McCabe said. "And his reliance on out-of-state funders seems to be growing."

he started his on-slot of advertisements day in and day out about a year before the election.....and bingo he's in. Still can't believe it.

We need someone who can raise BIG money and support. And we need that person to step forward soon.

5. But keep this in mind...

With the Citizens United ruling, you knew the corporate money was going to be on their side.

What few point out is that during the recall process, the usual $10,000 limit on contributions from individual donors did not apply.

So Wanker raised huge contributions from wealthy donors across the country. There's no way he couldn't outraise us.

What they're not talking about is the fact that Wanker spend 5mil during the signature process and we collected 1mil signatures anyway. Rumor is after spending all that money, his numbers are tanking. It's why Wanker's rhetoric keeps changing. They can't find a way to win back the Indies.
